Customer Service Agreement

1. Introduction

Welcome to SyncSelf. This Customer Service Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms under which we provide our Narrative Practice and self-exploration services. By booking a session or using our services, you (the “Customer”) agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Scope of Services

• Narrative Practice: SyncSelf provides facilitated, 90-minute self-exploration conversations. These sessions are designed for personal growth, clarity, and self-discovery.

• Non-Clinical Disclaimer: SyncSelf and its facilitators (Monique) do not provide psychological counseling, psychotherapy, or medical diagnosis. These services are not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact local emergency services or a licensed medical professional.

3. Appointments and Payment

• Pre-payment: To secure your session, full payment (via e-transfer or accepted online methods) is required at the time of booking.

• Confirmation: Your appointment is only confirmed once payment has been received.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• 24-Hour Rule: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.

• Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, are non-refundable and will be charged at the full session rate.

• Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule a session once at no additional cost, provided at least 24 hours' notice is given.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy

• Privacy: All information shared during sessions is treated with the strictest confidentiality.

• Legal Exceptions: Confidentiality will be maintained except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., if there is a clear risk of harm to yourself or others, or in response to a legal subpoena).

6. Limitation of Liability

• Personal Agency: You are the expert of your own life. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any decisions, actions, or changes you make in your personal or professional life following a session.

• No Guarantee of Results: While Narrative Practice is a transformative tool, SyncSelf does not guarantee specific outcomes or life developments.

• Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, SyncSelf’s liability for any claim arising out of our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific session in question.

7. Facilitator Protection

SyncSelf facilitators maintain a professional "Third Space" for exploration. Participants agree to interact respectfully. SyncSelf reserves the right to terminate a session or the service relationship if behavior is deemed inappropriate or unsafe, without a refund.

8. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

• Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada.

• Resolution: Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through direct, good-faith communication. If unresolved, disputes will be settled via binding arbitration in Calgary, Alberta.

9. Updates to Terms

SyncSelf may update this Agreement periodically. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted to our website.
